CubeWerx Wins an Important Contract from GeoConnections.
Gatineau, Québec. Mar, 30, 2007 -- CubeWerx, a leading provider of spatial data warehousing and OGC compliant web services software products, today announced that it has won an important contract to provide technical assistance to the national GeoConnections partnership program led by Natural Resources Canada.
Under this renewable contract, CubeWerx may provide technical assistance to GeoConnections until the end of the program’s current mandate in 2010. The work will concentrate on:
- providing technical assistance in terms of standards and architecture to strengthen the operationalization of the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure being expanded by GeoConnections and its partners;
- investigating a suite of geospatial services and implementation approaches for GeoConnections’ priority areas, namely public safety and security, public health, environment and sustainable development, and matters of importance to Aboriginal people.
- reviewing technical documents, and contributing to the development of technical guidance documentation that is based on input from the communities of practice listed above and from existing and new standards and specifications being developed by the Open Geospatial Consortium and ISO Technical Committee 211.
