CubeWerx will contribute expertise and OGC-compliant technologies in assembly of a functional portal.
February 13, 2003
Gatineau, Quebec -- CubeWerx announced today that it had been selected to join a group of companies contributing to the establishment of a prototype for a portal that will facilitate access to geospatial data.
The goal of the GOS-PI is to build a standards-based architecture and prototype for a portal that will provide geospatial information discovery, access, and mapping in the US.
The Geospatial One-Stop (GOS) initiative is being sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the US Geological Survey (USGS); and in partnership with the OpenGIS® Consortium.
CubeWerx will be supplying and assisting in the implementation of the following technology components: CubeSTOR® - Spatial Data Warehouse, CubeSERV WMS - Cascading Web Map Server and CubeSERV WFS - Web Feature Server.
