Lockheed Martin Consortium Using CubeWerx Technology for NIMA Win

HULL, Quebec, - CubeWerx Inc., a leading provider of Spatial Warehouse Solutions for geospatial data infrastructures today announced that a Lockheed Martin led consortium, which CubeWerx is a part of, has been awarded a Phase One contract for NIMA’s “Big Idea” initiative.
The company’s full suite of unique and powerful products - CubeSTOR™, CubeSERV™, and CubeVIEW™ - will be used as part of the solution.
Other consortium members include Intergraph Corporation of Huntsville Alabama, Laser-Scan of the UK, and Holonics Data Management of Hull, Canada.

NIMA (the U.S. National Imagery and Mapping Agency) issued the Big Idea (BI) Request for Proposal in May. A key requirement for the BI is to provide the infrastructure and functions for NIMA to maintain its geospatial and image data across its extended enterprise (internal and external producers, and data providers) in such a way that these data are current, complete, and accurate. Further, the data must be stored in a way that is “product independent,” or unbiased until the user makes a request for data against a set of mission parameters.
